C Hanlon Building received an enquiry asking if we would be interested in quoting for an Attic Conversion and other works.
We received drawings and arranged a visit to discuss proposed works with the tenant. After many informed discussions a quote was produced and accepted.
Main works were to convert an attic space (accessed only by a ladder through a small hatch in a cupboard) into a bedroom/sliding cupboards with en-suite bathroom and new staircase access. This conversion involved some structural works i.e. new landings to support the stairs and strengthening for all the existing joists and rafters.
Many trades were involved to complete the works including joiners, electricians, plumbers, heating engineers, tilers and decorators which required co-ordinating.
Other works carried out included changing all pass doors to fire doors, installing new heat and smoke alarms, removing existing sanitary ware and tiling to the main bathroom and fitting new sanitary ware and floor/wall tiling.
Comment from one of the tenants:
“In general the conversion is looking really great, Ray and the rest of the guys involved have done a cracking job and everyone at C Hanlon has been easy and pleasant to deal with.”
