Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia which everyone is susceptible to. 221 people in the UK contracted Legionnaires’ disease in 2013, 34 of whom died.
Any property owner or agent controlling premises, whether residential (in specific circumstances) or workplace properties, has an obligation to ensure that water installations or systems on the premises are free from risk of the Legionella bacteria being present.
C Hanlon are trained to carry out a full Legionella Risk Assessment of your premises in line with The HSE Approved Code of Practice (L8). This risk assessment will identify any potential risk sources, detail means of preventing the risk and also give you an indication of any remedial works required to control the legionella risk.
Water sampling and testing can be carried out where there is an imminent threat of Legionella.
